feral hogs in Texas show
I get they are a problem but why are they wasting time using dogs and traps to catch them? If they are such a problem can't you just set up a blind on your property at night with a spotlight and a rifle and take them out? Use a silenced .223 and pick them off.

It may be property owners discretion but they have shot a few hogs on the show. Dogs are mainly for tracking and holding the hog til the fatso's catch up

Is there a hog season or can you kill them on site? I'd be eating bacon every day if it's allowed.

No hog season it's year round no license needed.

hogs are a problem only if they are costing somebody money. In this case, it's the farmers and ranchers. the cooperative of farmers and ranchers should be looking to put a plan in place to eradicate the damn things, and then pay for that plan. When there is money involved, THEN you will see the proper, massive slaughter of feral hogs, as opposed to the entertainment of people via the many retarded ways people can come up with to pursue them.
I guarantee you, technology exists from military, space, and commercial industries to put together systems that would exterminate massive numbers of these damn things effortlessly.

Best plan would be to feed them with something that would render the pigs sterile  If you could feed pigs something that would effectively neuter them then you eventually could get rid of all of them.

at the wedding cake
i wondered the same thing about that show
i seen a site that use a helicopter and a shooter
they slaughtered like a hundred pigs in about an hour
that looked like fun
