It's laughable to think that Mr hedge fund analyst can pick up a gun and defend himself and his family without any training. He will be up against government agents with YEARS for firearms a tactical training as well as more than likely recent urban conflict training in the sandbox. He won't have a chance.

Just think about it. Mr Hedgefund refuses to give up his guns and barricades yourself in his house. One willie pete grenade later, they are dead or on the sidewalk choking on smoke. It's laughable to think our current societal makeup will have a chance against a systematic registration and seizure of firearms.

While the administration is back in talks with the UN, it is, according to them, only going to affect exports of guns and not infringe on any 2nd amendment rights here at home... So they say.

Unfortunately I have money tied up in all kinds of shit right now that I can't afford to apply the appropriate amount of funds to what I really need to buy or do(just missed a local combat shotgun course this weekend because of the recent financial woes ).

The fact is, they can come and seize whatever they want and I would even invite them in to my house to do it....but it doesn't mean..........you get the jist.

With the rights we have as country men, there are consequences for removing our rights to have weapons...

Simply put: The NRA is too strong. Politicians are too weak. The American people taken as a whole are too stupid.

How many thousands of rounds of 5.56 have you fired in your lifetime? My point is made! They would only have the numbers advantage.

I have fired a shit-ton of 5.56 and 7.62 and maybe a few hundred of 40mm, as well.

But you can never have enough range time.

Most of the men with "recent urban conflict training in the sandbox" are also private gun owners. How do you think their guns will be taken? While I do believe it is always good to be prepared, I do not believe the United States will suddenly become Nazi Germany. I do think we are in for rough times. What is truly laughable is all the recent "Doomsday predictions".

I've been saying this for over a year. The QE infinity run is going to cause a financial meltdown. China could cause it in less than 2 months, first by selling off their US bonds at a wholesale price, then flooding the market with the dollars they get back from the bonds. The fed could print enough money to cover the bonds, but they cannot print Euros. Flooding the market with 6 trillion dollars after the fed printed 6 trillion to buy the bonds would cripple us for years.

The intent of the current government is to demonize weapon owners and turn the country against itself. They are doing a great job. The general public in chicago, new york, new jersey and DC would love to see peoples guns taken from them.

My theory: There are FAR too many people in this country that would willingly give up their firearms and Big Brother knows that. If push ever comes to shove, there WILL be another civil war (civilians vs. government) and there WILL be bloodshed.

The inflation spike from that kind of printing along with the devaluation of the dollar would make the printing useless. I know they would try it but it wouldn't accomplish anything besides another short term fix. I have moved all my investments into precious metals and have also bet against the dollar.

Yeah and what's going to happen to China's economy? They have serious internal issues that make ours look small. Their civil, political, and economic stability relies on 8-9% growth annually in their GDP. They are in the 7s and rapidly slowing right now.

It's closer to 5% right now and that is mainly because of government subsidies. I have a feeling the next US tactic will be to have a cold war with them to bankrupt them. Them trashing the dollar and sending us in a tailspin would be cheaper than a cold war with us. They would lose a bunch of income from the bonds but the alternative would be worse.

I think the numbers advantage would more than counter the training, but there are so many variables that it would be nearly impossible to predict. More important than tactical training is command structure, supply, communications. Government and military advantage would be massive, but they'd be outnumbered by a hundred to one. Look at the difficulty the Syrian army is having with squashing the civilians. They have tactical training, air power, communications, organized command, better weapons, etc... and they're pretty much ignoring any form of restraint, but they appear to be in a tragic stalement with the FSA after 9 months.

House to house fighting is a nasty business. I hope it never comes to that. If it did, the US military would not have an easy time of it in urban areas if the armed civilian population decided they were going to resist at all costs.

Agreed, only a small pocket of resistance in the beginning if it comes to that. Not to mention the large number of people looting instead of fighting.

The only way to win an insurrection is to make the aggressors pay dearly at the onset. Once they or their agents realize that the losses will be unacceptable, they will rethink things. If they escalate and destroy the infrastructure, their kingdom won't work, so why bother at that point.

If the shit hit the fan and the military deployed en masse against the US civilians, what would you do when they came down your street?

What would Frank, Kmac, WarMachine, Bohem, Dave, etc. do? The forum is filled with members that are highly trained, well armed, motivated. Sure, there's gonna be some gun owners that will just toss all their gear out on the lawn and come out with hands up, but I wouldn't be so quick to write off the whole US population as soft, iPhone clutching pussies that aren't up for a fight.

Like I said, the numerous ways that this could play out make predicting the outcome impossible.

I guess they prefer Barry over Willard then.
