they tell me its better than a chinese made one for about the same price.
it had the fast 1:9 (i think) twist. so load the heavy projectiles. but they are too long. so it seems point less now. i was going to long range hunt rabbits and stalk, short range deer/goats. it a bit of a shame, it was an ok rifle.

Get the 20" REPR with the 11.25" twist barrel. I just bought one and it's a tack driver.

The 1/7 or 1/6.5 are the fast twist. 1/9 is what most commercial uppers use. Shoots everything up to 70 grains just fine. 75's and 77's if you push them fast enough. I've found the 1/9 twist to be most effective with a 69g pill. I prefer a 1/8 for a bull barrel gun. best of both worlds.

Me too. What's the use of having this long range stuff if I don't use it regularly.

this one isnt a bull barrel, but i just checked it is 1:8.
i was lead to believe the 75 amax was too long and sits back too far in the case at mag length. i might look into it more then.
thanks.
i know the windham weaponry is thought to be a cheaper a rifle, any opinion on them?

We all went thru 1500 or so rounds of 22 every evening after dinner. We shot the dogs near camp from our camp chairs.

No idea about those, never used them. The bushmaster varminter is a great lightweight option. I was using 69g SMK's out to 650 and getting decent hits.
