Once again, it was a choice between a poop sandwich, or poop soup. The poop sandwich was easier to eat, but we got the soup, again.

If you do a prairie dog hunt, bring a few 5.56/ 223's, and lots of ammo.
If you are trying to get a long kill in, a 6mm or 6.5 mm of your favorite flavor will keep you happiest. ( I've killed them with everything from a 3/4 ton Dodge diesel, small-medium-large hand guns, 5.56 to 50BMG and evArything in between in rifles)
And don't skimp on glass.
you will be looking through scopes, range finders, spotting scopes and Bino's all damn day.
your eyes will get fatigued.
If you can only bring one gun, make it an AR-15 in 5.56 with a fast twist and 2 grand worth of glass sitting on top.
If you get serous about this, let me know and I'll try and make it.
I know of a few spots in Montana that might still be fertile killing grounds.
And shooting benches are for pussies. Shoot from the ground and plan on hiking allot.
You will get 4-5X the kills in that way. And run suppressed if possible.

Better to eat poop soup for 4 years than poop sandwiches for 8.

Been eyeballing one of those Sig M400's at my local Walmart. They have it for $917 now.
Any input on a PSA AR15? Saw one yesterday for $790 at a local gun store.

LAst time I went with 2-223's, a 308, a 338lm, 10-22 RRR, AR, hkusp45 and a 22 pistol. Had suppressors for everything but the 338 and the 223 bolt gun. Had upwards of 8k rounds of ammo, didn't bring much back.

war machine you ever dealt with underground tactical? I'm getting my hk45ct from them. The owner is awesome and they repair guns, engrave, coat, fix, and will make anything you want custom. It's pretty badass. Jason is the owners name.
