They work, but it's just not worth it to me, and I don't mind taking my time loading mags. Gives me a chance to inspect my work.

The best one I've ever used:
The gun shop had one and I used it before our last Pdog trip. Loaded mags as fast as you could lay out the rounds.

Yeah, the odd number bugs me. I try to think of it as 16+1.

So I forgot my jacket and some things at the gun shop wednesday, so yesterday I head back to pick them up. I'm chatting with the owner and asked him what he was getting low on so I know what to load this week. He's been on a 9mm kick so he's almost out of those, I asked about 45 and he said he's not shooting 45 anymore. I told him I'm pretty much out of 45 and was going to prep some brass soon. I said I'm down to about 800 rounds in the practice bin. one of the customers looked at us funny and asked if we considered 800 out, what do you consider stocked? We just looked at each other and laughed. You don't wanna know....
3 months ago I ordered another 100k of 5.56. Today I got an email saying the order was cancelled. Oh well, picked up enough brass to keep me going a while.

I'd love something like that. But, since I'm moving out of the house, and not sure what/where my apartment is going to be, no clue on if I'll have space and no chance of making it myself.

Hey, do you have that link to the video of the moose kill with the bow? I found a bunch of bow hunting vids on Youtube but not the one you posted.

I've decided to get a bow again. Expand the season a bit. Nearly free meat is hard to pass up.
