hi all im new too this forum and am in dieing need ov help... ive got a 2003 r1 last week my batt died and fryed etc so i took it too a local bike garage and thay said i needed anew rectifier/regulator and batt so i gave them aload ov cash and had anew motobatt (yellow) thay said thay the best on the market and anew rectifier/regulator (tourmax) happy days well for 1 day as i thourt i could smell warm wires etc so i got my mate with a volt meter and he checked batt and it was reading over 17v going in and my m8 turned it off asap ;-( been lookin on here and you all say its rectifier/regulator etc how can that be when ive had it all done without no cheap parts etc plz i need help :sneaky
all so ive noticed the rectifier/regulator gets hot hot touch it and it will burn you after afew secs is that norm?? this is the new 1 ive had fitted ;-(
