Ever wonder why you have to run a pc3 between the wire harness for your injectors and why u have to tap into your stock harness for a signal wire? Basically the pc3/pc5 lies to the ecu by telling it that's its drawing too little air to richen up the fuel mixture, or its running too much air to lean out the mixture. But the preferred method is to reflash to change the restricted throttle settings by the ycct and maximize power per cylinder and per gear instead of 1 power commander map for all gears and cylinders then spend another 300$ on An ignition module to adapt your timing with your fuel. Hands down 2 bikes, same mods, 1 has pc3 . the other FlashTune . I put 1000$ on the FlashTune bike all day with same rider. Straight line or circuit track.

Thanks GG. Just wondering if you could help me with this as a winter project since I won't be riding anymore here in Utah. When it comes to PC and Reflash, it's a foreign language to me. I've been hearing from a lot of people on this forum to get it reflash but, since I already had the pc3, I wasn't sure how much better it would be.

Now best option, sell your pc3 and buy flash tune. Then sve up some money for a Pcv with auto tune feature so it can data log your fuel while riding and save a map and make auto corrections to your pc fuel table to help you achieve a perfect afr throughout the entire Rpm range. However IF u only have 300$ to spend, def get the flash tune. Well worth the money! I have flashed my ecu maybe 60 times since I got it in July.

So, Graphitegripper just flash tuned my ECU. Got a decent map on it, I have to say. The bike is alive. It really is. By no means was a 2008 R1 slow to begin with. But, it's so alive right now. Engine braking is reduced tremendously. Throttle response is immediate. Riding with a few guys yesterday, and blowing away a dude on a ZX-14 sure made my day.
Thanx Corey!!!

I ran the bike yesterday on a long strip of road, totally empty. I went up to 150. Not too worried about it, I've done a lot more then 150. It's the way it was pulling. It pulls soooooo strong. I know it had so much more power to spare... DAMN.
Plus, guess who was coming the other way when I made it to the end of the road. Yep... A GSXr 1000. We ran (Well, I ran, he tried). He then said to me... Damn, where's the turbo..
Music to my ears..
