Anyone still doing this?
Seems kind of pointless.
Cheapest i can find these batteries are $70 for 8 of them.
After all of the parts are bought it's around $110.
You can buy a pulse 1 for $130

Hey, looking for a little help. Great idea and execution on these batteries! Built a 4 cell battery for my 4t 250cc, all cells within spec and as soon as it's connected to bike it shorts the 30A main fuse, anyone have any idea's to why this is happening?
Thanks.

did you check that the + and - connections are right ?
those cells got it "reversed" , compared to conventional batteries .

Yeah that's the first thing i checked. output was correct when checked with a multimeter. Even wired battery to a led light strip i had laying around and it lit it up no problem!
Edit: thanks very much for replying!

You probably have some kind of electrical issue, not related to the battery. A short circuit somewhere.

All is good with a standard battery. Starting again in case I've done something stupid!

Dude, you have a short. Something after the fuse is going directly to ground.

I made one of these batteries when the thread was started, Its still working fine. But I bought a track bike lately and as I bought extra cells a few years back that I never used I wanted to assemble another one. I have everything apart from the bars to joint the batteries. not having much luck finding them. Has anyone a link so as I can buy them?

I have an entire packet left. How many do you need? Pay for postage?
Edit, my batteries are working as well, I do have to disconnect after every ride though.

Cool thanks, 8 will get this battery going but if you have 16 to give that would be great. If you could pm me your paypal account details and what what you want for them and the postage, that would be great, thanks again.

SSS R1 do you think that your battery would suit a yec rotor better because it charges faster?
