How good of a friend is this "friend"? I'm guessing not very, since this entire story reeks of him scamming you (assuming you're 100% legit, which at this point remains questionable.)

Well I have known him since we were in High School but I Guess I just font want to think bad of him. I mean i let this guy and his wige live with us when he lost his job. I even helped him out financially. But i guess now im seeing things different. I think he is trying to scam me. I guess people will do whatever for money.

It really sucks but I'm the type of person that help people out all the time and some low life people will take advantage of that. I usually end up on the winning side eventually but have lost out on a few.

As for the title issue with Credit Card. The Credit Card company might have been told to hold the title if the underwriting company sees a purchase like that coming through, after all they are ultimate lender.

When I purchased my GSXR back in 04, I put it on the Suzuki credit card. Did this because the apr was much lower. While doing this then credit card had a lean on the bike. I didn't receive the title til the bike was paid off in 05.
It maybe the same case. Either way I would have bought the bike from him without a title it might as well be stolen.

I don't know of any CC company's that let you use checks for free anymore?? There's usually a 3% Fee right off the bat and the 0% APR is only good for 1 year...
But anyway the OP already recanted the CC part of his story...along with every other part also ...now back to the show!

Depends on the company. I just got an offer for 0% until Nov. '13, and 1% fee for each check or balance transfer.

literally it doesnt matter. as long as u got the keys and its not stolen do whatever the F**K you want its yours now. get a new title/frame or track the bike, everybody here is just pissed cuz u payed 1/4th what they did for the same bike. as long as its got valid plates ride that sucker just dont ride "like u stole it". your bike. your rules. it doesnt sound like that guy is givin u back 3k either so u might as well keep it and track or get a new title or bonded etc..

Really, so selling your buddy's bike is ok if you didn't ask him? Same thing as theft. The bank owns the bike, it's illegal in many states to sell an MV without a title. Just because it's a bank he's screwing over doesn't make it right.

I can promise you that not a single person here is "pissed" because we all overpaid for our legal bikes

Exactly, that's why I paid cash for my 06 in 06. Didn't want to give up something I may not have been able to afford if things got lean as they have now. At least my pride and joy was brought and paid for long ago.
