R1 Fairing 1/4 Turn Screws - How to clean?
Some of my fairing screws seem to have a little bit of oxidation/residue on them. My bike is garage kept and not really washed with water all that much. What is the best way to get this removed?
Thanks

“Homebrew” acids Vinegar, lemon juice, or cola can remove light surface rust. and protect with the ol' wd-40

I will try that. It is not rust or anything though it is just like one of the hard water spots but its not a waterspot haha I don't know how to explain it.

cheap SST fasteners will eventually rust like steel fasteners . . .
aluminum fasteners show evidence of corrosion with white oxidation . . .
titanium fasteners show no evidence of corrosion, and look like new forever

Hi guys. The same happened to mine. I took them out and clamped them one by one in a normal hand drill (lowish speed) using what we call fine steel wool (pot scourers) between the fingers. Came out good as new and coated them afterwards with good ole wd40.
