If you go with the Colt 6920, get an LE, its made for Law Enforcement to military standards. And if you go with an AR15, buy one that is throated for the 5.56 NATO and a .223 remmington will fire no problem.

POF has had some corporate issues. They have fallen off a bit.

POF is a nice lower, but it's just that. The tech involved in the LWRCI's is amazing. Just read the website to learn that. They have gone above and beyond!

Yeah, I might just do something out of the box. I've been looking at the 300 Blackout round, rather than the 7.62x51 (.308). I guess the ballistics of the 300 blackout are pretty amazing. Has anyone shot that round?

Yes, extensively. It's not as flat a shooter as 223/5.56 or 308. It's great out to say, 300 meters, but past that it's not a performer. Subsonic loads are good to maybe 100.

I swear I saw a video of a guy shooting it at 750 yards claiming it still had more force than a 5.56, with about the same bullet drop.

EDIT: heres the video, not sure how informed this guy is though.

It's subjective. If I find a crappy 223 load and a hot VLD 175 load, maybe. Lemme hit the bench with this. Be back in a second.

OK, at 500 yards the standard 300 blackout round has twice the drop at a standard 55g ball round. 223-10moa, 300 19.5moa= 97 inches of drop

It looks like he said the 300 has more energy at 750 yards, but they had the same drop with the 5.56 at 500m and the 300 at 450m, so the 300 is dropping more. Keep following that out and by 750m it will be significant, hence "not as flat as 5.56" as Meister said.

Ah, yes thanks. I watched the video yesterday, with so much information, I forgot some. Bullet drop can be compensated for, though is it worth it? No idea, I've never shot the round.

My issue with the 300 is trajectory and speed. Speed kills. That thoracic cavity shock is what you want and the 300 has it up close, but when it gets slowed down it just punches a hole with very little expansion. Good round, but not all it was cracked up to be for me. Someone offered me way too much money for it anyway, so I sold it.

Noted, well then that's off of the chopping block.
