Sooooooo proud of my kiddos!
Well I know it's been awhile since I did a pupdate in here, but thought this was worth mentioning..... I'm very proud to say that Riley and Piper both now have their CGC (canine good citizen) certificates!! Sooooooo freakin' proud of them and just how far they've come. Still not perfect, but from where they started they're not even remotely close to the same dogs. They were in rough shape not only physically but mentally as well, and they've had a LOT of obstacles to overcome with their major fear issues, but they're doing great!
I don't think I ever posted the thread here, but this is the original story from when I found these 2 orphans... long read as I updated it for over a year
http://www.r6-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129745
Anyways.... some recent pics
They both now proudly hang on the living room wall
And a few recent pics....
Riley loves belly rubs
And expensive toys, lol
Piper is turning gray already...sheesh
Waiting patiently
Hanging out down at South Mountain State Park
Sleepy
And of course Piggy is still being.... Piggy, lol
How can I possibly say no to that face?? Yea I can't.... not gonna lie
Riley is a daddys boy alright, haha
Lazy bums
Everybody is doing great.... happy and healthy! Now to see if we can't get one or both of them through therapy dog.... we shall see!

Good looking pups! The one picture on the wall is definitely something to keep. Almost like dad and his two boys..

Thanks!! Yea I love that pic, and it was just a "by chance" picture, wasn't planned and just happened to snap it at just the right time. They did the pose 100% entirely on their own, I had absolutely nothing to do with it. I just looked over, saw it, snapped a pic. I think what makes this pic so cool to me, is that from the very beginning, Piggy (the big one) was like mama dog to both of them. Literally soon as I took the 2 little ones in she went straight into mama mode and started taking care of them. So it's like a proud mama with her kids (like you said)
I liked it so much I had it printed on a 16x20 canvas... thought it came out pretty good
And thanks everyone for the kind words.... they indeed make me proud!

i didn't start a thread, just put up a couple pictures at different times in the lets see your dog thread. i'll dig up the posts for you i got a german short-haired pointer:
http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showp...postcount=2175
http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showp...postcount=2237
a quick video: http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346948
despite what's seen in the video, he's pretty good at staying, sitting, coming, etc. today i put food on both of his paws while he was sitting without him touching it until i told him to eat it
i gotta get some newer pictures, he's growing fast. already coming up 21.5 inches at his shoulder. going to get him weighed when i get his next round of heartworm stuff in a week. i'm hoping he's closing in on 50lbs since that's what a couple of his litter mates are hitting already. having the shits for the first 5 months he was alive definitely didn't help with putting on weight though.

Congrats
I remember watching the video of them lining up to go out, pretty amazing. Now, if I could only get my dog to sit in one spot for more than 2 seconds...

Awww he's adorable!! Looks like he's getting BIG too! Keep at it with the training, he'll get it. He looks to very attentive and willing to learn already so that's good
