There is so much fail with this situation. Running the shoot house with no light, not verifying the range was clear before he entered, why the other instructor was doing a debrief in the shoot house is beyond me. The cheapest I would go on an AR would be Nikon or Millett. They can handle the vibration an auto puts out. Make sure you but the right size. You need the flip up version for a gas block, not a rail. 2 different sizes. I put NC star sights on mine, cheap and they work fine.

Is your front site mount the gas block? Some people have issues with the heat from that and flip up sites.

The Troy ones are affected by the heat.
