Is your front site mount the gas block? Some people have issues with the heat from that and flip up sites.
The Troy ones are affected by the heat.

The plastic Magpul's don't hold up to the heat, for sure!

The price is right and they are robust in design.

Most of that bulk stuff is fine. As long as it's not russian or steel cased, it will work. I prefer the south african, south korean and RORG uk surplus rounds. I'm not any cheaper than what you can find and I rarely sell unless the price is way up.

There were some bad lots of prvi a few years ago, I think they have it back under control now but it makes me cautious.

Yep. I would like one. But, just out of the budget for the time being. Though, I may make a trip up to DPMS sometime in the near future as they are a local company.

understood, it's pretty much sold out where i've been looking but just wanna watch for the heavier grains since all indications say lwrc is fine with 55gr but loves the heavy. that just general twist rate math but you know that already

Honestly, if I didn't roll my own super clean rounds, I'd look for LC and RORG exclusively, the post 2000 RORG is really good and LC is always tops. I used to like the Winchester Q3131a, but they had some issues with overcharging at one point. It's fixed as well, but it can always happen again. Q3131A1 is always tops, made by Olin/Winchester in Korea. Q3131A is IMI. I used to buy IMI but found that the cases were of a very short capacity and the brass was kind of brittle. Got away from it. LC/Federal xm193 is the best of the best, but it's spendy. 100% reliability.

I'll look around for the RORG and LC is always on the list but right now i'm seeing more tracers than anything. Few green tips here and there.

RORG is Royal Ordinance Radway Green. 62g ss109 nato spec, but has no green tip. I've got a shit ton of the stuff. Love it.

What happens if their is a lot of creep in that factory trigger.I'm a decent shot and realize the importance of a clean and crisp trigger pull. Replace everything or just the springs?

You should be able to drop in a RRA 2-stage match trigger for around $130 I'm guessing, which will be a good trigger for the money; certainly better than what you probably have. Or, for double that you can get a Wilson TTU single stage drop in trigger that is an excellent trigger. A lot of money for a trigger in an economy gun, though.
