RRA would be the max on money for it I would spend but would be well spent to give me a good idea when I build one.

Start with the springs, then move up on your next AR. Geiselle is the only one I will use from now on. I've used the high end JP, Wilson and RR ones and they aren't as user friendly and adjustable as the Geiselle. The more you shoot it, the better the trigger gets. You don't want a super light trigger on a battle rifle anyway.

There are better out there for similar money, but the RRA one is a solid performer once you get used to it.

Any issues with RRA and hard mil-spec primers?

Not with the heavier DPMS hammer.

Just picked up my PSA for $587.00. Couldn't pass on it. Grabbed some mags and ammo as well. Gonna try to get a shoot in this weekend.

That's dirt cheap! Let me know if you have any trouble with it, I've fixed 2 of these over the past couple months. Their QC isn't always the best.

I should have specified that it's the 2 stage NM trigger. If I want to reliably run mil surplus ammo, do I need to replace the hammer? springs? or whole trigger?

It will run it. I was speaking more to just changing the springs to the 3.5# jp's

That's a relief... I spent too much money already. I'd hate to have to replace the trigger. I should have some mil surplus coming soon. I'll see how it does...

For you six 8 lovers.....lwrc landed a foreign gov contract for the 6.8 @35k rifles. At the same time Atk has built a dedicated like for manufacture of said round to the tune of 150 million rounds per year. 1 million made so far. No word on when it will hit the commercial market but at least there are moves in the works for those that want the six8 in the main stream.

I heard that Magpul is designing a designated 6.8 only magazine for the LWRCI weapon.

It's a perfect cross between the 223 and 300 blackout. It's the 40s&w of black rifles.

223(9mm) 6.8(40S&W) 45(300 blackout)
Look at the 3 pistol calibers then look at this, same sort of comparison
6.8 on the left 5.56(223) on the right
It's a go between round, that will pack enough punch behind it without the worries of the slightly smaller 223 and the larger 30 cal 300 blackout.
Jason can explain it better

The 40sw is a compromise round, it's caliber and weight is between the 9mm and the 45 ACP. It's faster than the 45 but slower than the 9mm. It isn't fast, nor is it heavy so it does neither job well. Same thing with the 6.8. It's faster than the 300 blackout but with a smaller diameter and weight than the blackout. It's larger and has better penetration than the 223 but it's trajectory isn't as flat at the 223.
It's a compromise round. Better at some things than the 223 (penetration, knock down power), better at some things than the 300 blackout (Faster, better trajectory) but no the better all around than either.
