2012 r1 headers
Hi all I am about to drill and weld my AT bung in but before I start what material is the 2012R1 headers made out off

Regular steel I would imagine, I know it's not aluminum or titanium, stainless steel? I'm no help at all, but if using a tig I would weld it like steel or stainless.

Just like others have said, they're titanium.

I DO believe yamaha can afford Titanium... so thanks.. actually the reason most of us have a hard time letting go of 'em...
leo headers are stainless steel... so at least it was a good guess..

They are a very thin wall Ti.. Good luck welding them, they burn through easy
