To be honest, I kinda like my old CB for tooling around on the streets....
Melvin you only like street more because you seem to bin it every time you go to a track...

I want off-road capabilities so I can continue on if I hit a dirt road, or low maintenance. FJ can't handle it as well.
Thought about an FJ for a long time before. But, want something different.

Hard to beat a standard for street riding. All I need now is a touring bike.
And a SUMO

I've got the Vmax for streets, the dirtbikes for dirt. R1 for track. I'd like to tour someday, but it's not in the cards til things turn back around.

hmm, I've got all winter to plan it out. Not sure if I need to wait till next summer or just grab one now when the prices are low.
**** I need a house with a garage but they are so freaking expensive in naperville. I'm prolly looking at $1.5-2K a month for a decent 2-3 bedroom house with a garage.
Maybe a $30 a month storage unit doesn't sound that bad.

I'm really undecided if I want to get back on the street. Being that I'm single again, I'm getting the itch for touring...

mostly street with an occasional track day

hmm, I dont go crazy on the street, I've learnt that speeding tickets tend to be very expensive. I have no idea what the state does with that $$.They get a ton of $$ from every weekly lottery, I wonder where it all goes to.

I had a number of bikes before. If I want to ride MX, easy enough. Just make a couple of calls. But, the BMW would be touring and adventure.
No matter if I wanted it now, it's out of the cards for a long time. I need to do too many things before I can spend money like that. My goal of being debt free by end of 2013 is #1.

Any thoughts to relocate to MN? I'm selling my house. Needs some work. But, three large bedrooms, family room, home office and an oversized 2 car garage.
Cheap. Will be even cheaper once short sale docs are filled out.

A year of not having a toy is worth being debt free

haha, I pretty much learnt how to ride all by myself & on the street and oh boy, I didn't notice how many bad habits I had until I hit the track. - covering front brakes - bad body positioning - using rear brake every time- holding clutch in when ever I brake ( I remember some guy teaching me when I started riding a bike. " you hold the clutch when you break - they go together".
oh well I'm getting there.

Sadly, I have to go into a bit more debt to get out. But, it'll be worth it as it'll help me get out sooner.

Actually, mid to late fall while people are panicking where to store bikes. Or, selling in anticipation of next year's models.
