Yep, it's all about the commercial trap. I can watch a program commercial free in just over 40 minutes. Football games I'm interested in I can watch at hooters of elsewhere if I want to. We don't want to get an antenna or the kids might start watching tv again. They read, play with toys, Play the Wii, help around the house. We upped their Chores when we dropped cable, you know, to keep them busy and not complaining.

Yep, I started purging things a while ago. Even before the end of last year. Just didn't see a need for a lot of it. Since the events of this year, that's really been accelerated. I've even go so far as to pitch some furniture I don't want knowing that I'd rather let the neighbors burn it than move it. As I go through items in the house, I put them into boxes, or in the corner if they are going to donation. They're itemized so when it comes time for taxes, I can take advantage of that.

Whomever said divorce is a bad thing, never looked at it from all aspects. There definitely are some "perks" to being single again.

Yep, even if you watch shows on hulu, etc. it's generally one or two commercials in the entire program. All in all, I still only watch a couple of hours of TV a week. But, the Netflix cost is negligible to me and is currently worth the $7.95/month cost. When I move, I'm seriously considering not getting a replacement TV for the 27" tube TV I currently have. But, I enjoy watching movies while I'm on the bicycle trainer. Or, other times it's just nice to sit and relax on the couch watching something.

I will be getting rid of my desktop though. I'm converting to a laptop as I don't want the big desk I have and don't see a need for the desktop anymore. I've been wanting to downsize my "life" (stuff, activities, etc) for a long time. Now, I'm taking advantage of my situation.

That's what I use my DVR for...to skip the commercials

I will be dropping dtv this month,I canceled my order for the note 2 and I might drop my interweb service as well.my current phone works fine and for what little I use my internet at home I can teather off my phone, I've got too much money going out needlessly

Na, I folded my laundry, did the dishes, cleaned up the camping mess from last weekend, cleaned some guns and now I'm sweating so I'm taking a break.

Productive day really. I totally talked my way into a job on something I've never done before. I bid the job way high to cover my ass and nobody else would touch it so I got the job. Easy as pie. Ended up making about 220 an hour. 15 bucks in parts, total. 2 day job. Weeeeee

I think I'll go make some boolits once I cool off.
