Clearly it was not tied down. Driving down the road at a slow speed with $hit in the back of the truck makes me nervous even when tied down. This would have hurt!

Damn I almost had that $hit happen to me, except I was the one in the truck! My wife and I were moving our mattress that would barely fit in my truck bed and right about the time it and the truck bed became polar opposites a dude on a cruiser pulled out from an intersection. It couldn't have missed him by more than a couple of feet  . Talk about an embarrassing experience...
