How much oil to fill?

I have an 11' R1 and I was wondering if the oil level should be half way on the screen after the motorcycle has warmed up or before?

You should always check the oil level after the engine has run for 3 mins or so. Wait another three and then check the window

Gotcha, so do the oil change, warm up for 3 minutes, wait 3 minutes then make sure it's half way. Thank you.

'09+ take 4qts & 5 ozs, add 4 qts , run a few min, shut off and wait a few min, then recheck oil level with bike standing straight up off of kickstand. There are 2 lines next to sight window, lower level and full, fill to top line.
