Help... Need info on caliper/fork offset
Hi all
i need to know if i can replace a set of forks from a 04-06 for a set of forks from a 07-08. I know 04-06 uses 320mm rotors vs 310mm for the 07-08 but that does not matter. What i really need to know is if the offset on the caliper will allow me to fit the rotors centered on the calipers, that is the distance between the center of the caliper bolts to the center of the rotor slot in the caliper is the same for both model bikes?... If someone can help me i'd be very appreciative. I assume already done this upgrade already right? Thanks in advance
Fred

Ok 310mm, no spacers needed. Fender is the same... I used my 06 fender and it fit the same.
Offset is the same.

So, how did you get the pads/calipers to work with them? You , know... to sit properly?

Looks like a bit of pad is hanging.

Not really... The difference is less than 5mm and the pads don't go all the way to the back of the caliper. Works fine but on the edge of the disk i assume... I didn't bother to lower the caliper mounts...
