 I've seen that happen. Luckily it only charred the outside of the harness.

well i called them, they were "still" working on the r1 and the ape, they think it might have a pinched wire some where.......i guess piazzo has had zero problems of this nature. so i guess we'll see!!

Well r1 is fine...but the ape when i talked to em sat they said they replaced the rectifier and its not putting out any juice. Ill give em a call today...

its been 2 weeks and a couple days since i took the ape in. they still dont have parts. and the guy told me if the parts didnt ship by the 15, it wont ship until after the first. my wife insists that i should compensated for this. I asked her how but she doesnt know......is this reasonable to ask for compensation? has anyone had this happened and and if it is, what should i suggest? i feel like im stuck in the middle.

What are they waiting to come in ? For a 20k bike, I think this is ridiculous. I'd call Aprilia and complain to customer service, I would at the minimum want a free first FULL service with valve clearance check. A buddy's 2011 ZX10 is going in soon for its 2nd recall repair, another perfect example of why I will only own Yamaha's. At least 1 month lost of what I'm sure is the best time of year to ride where you're is not acceptable.

you can ask, but that's a losing battle. The dealership doesn't produce parts.

i was thinking of asking them to install my mirror block off plates and the rear light/integrated turn signals. since its just sitting there.....
