Not many countries can afford the costs of building and maintaining a fleet of carriers. In this respect the US will always have an advantage over the rest of the world, period... The Chinese are indeed still way behind. But, they are making progress slowly- even by way of piracy and theft. We shouldn't get too comfortable and need to always stay ahead of the game.

Reminds me of that episode of Star Trek Voyager where Voyager gets stuck in the gravitational pull of a pre-warp planet for a few days that's in a completely different time space. From Voyager's perspective, the planet was developing technology at lightning speeds. But to the planet, Voyager was a light in their skyline for generations... ***. Eventually, in what appears to the Voyager crew in only a few days, centuries have actually passed on the planet and their tech nearly exceeds Star Fleet. They send up two space ships to pull Voyager out of being stuck and even develop a device that allows their astronauts to temporarily sync up with Voyager's time...

If they fly aircraft like they drive cars, we have nothing to worry about.

^^ I think Chinese pilots have had a record of difficulties flying at night... Also there've been some incidents with them in the past- like with the US AWACS that was force landed in china years ago. One Chinese pilot went missing, presumably because he crashed.

^ lol... Not!
