To the OP, good that you are OK and that you were wearing your protective gear. My R1 looked worse than yours at one point. I started looking for used parts and plastics (eBay, craigslist, friends, etc etc) and so far I have spend 450.00 to get it back on the road. I ride the bike every day, it took me 3 weeks to get back on 2's. I’ll try to post pics.

that's $1900 already, and there's plenty of parts to go. I agree, this will go >$2K all day long if he truly "restores" it. Not to mention this thing's got a FIAT graphics package........not sure what the cost is for any of that, or how it was available OEM for a 2004.

those are all prices for new OEM parts from a discount dealer such as mrcycles. And if all the prices you quoted were for parts from the marketplace, then you may want to step outside the market once in a while and buy the NEW OEM for the same price.

assuming your prices are "marketplace" prices, then, you're getting ripped off on some of them because they are the same as NEW prices.
