A good number of the workforce would say that they aren't paid what they are worth...I'm one of them.
I work for a state funded university though...so i'm pretty used to it.

Fine...then go out and do something about it. Fact is most just want to bitch...trust me..starting your own company, going into debt by 10s of thousands of dollars (in my case topping 100k) while paying employees that want to bitch about how much they make (15-25/hr) is no easy living.
That's not pointed right at you, as I think you get it...just a general statement

2) Only an idiot would say Unions didn't have a place in our history, but it is just that...history. We now have laws that protect the workforce. Minimum wage laws, work laws, OSHA, etc. Labor unions are the only ones that still have a place and that's only to the exent that they allow for a flexable workforce....and even those are strugling.

What's the difference between Union upper mgmt who is raking in the cash at the DIRECT OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE of the employee and the corporation who may or may not be raking it in at the PERCEIVED EXPENSE of the employee?
A. The Union brass aren't taking any risk whatsoever within their financial spectrum; they've mandated that you have to be in the union and you have to pay dues.
B. They take dues with the promise of protection and union benefits, but pay out paltry sums when/if the time comes.
C. Employer pays MORE into unemployment, which pays unemployed people far more than unions ever will.
D. Companies are at risk of (and do) lose money, do unions? How come unions aren't "spreading the wealth" as so many people are adamant that corporations should do? Why is Union leadership so greedy? Especially when they are a 3rd party to the entity that risks the money, makes the product, and makes the money? That's a parasite by any other definition.

That last sentence was meant more as a joke. We are being hit with some very serious budget issue...rescinding some large percentages. Operationally, we are having to be very creative.

As far as eating the catch. I would have to cook it and there isnt the time to boiling lobsters during the day

I know what you mean... I try to leave my Carhartts in my truck so I don't get stuck freezing my ass off on an unexpectedly cold day but sometimes they make it into the house where I forget them.
No time to cook? I feel your pain brother I usually don't have time to eat an already prepared lunch. My only time to eat is while driving between jobs. Most of the time though I'm talking to customers on the phone.
