It's really normal for us guys up north in colder weather and after sandy it got worse and I'm a Yamaha tech it's very common even on my own bikes

The crossplane seems to be sensitive to cranking speed for sure.

True story I have taken apart slot of starters and that almost always seem to be the problem it starts showing signs around 5k miles slot of the time if you are beyond that you have a good one

Man this has been entertaining, yamaha tech as well, been shareing this thread with the guys at work, getting a good kick out of it all, was actuly hopeing to find out if the dumbass figured out the problem or still chasing the battery.

guess that means i gotta good one...20K miles on my 09 and still starts fine too bad for ImaBoss....should he have a name change for when he comes back. Ima Douche...or any other suggestions
