An odd question about my low fuel light (09)
Just picked her up last week. 8k miles, Just an rls slipon. when the low fuel light came on she ran out with in 3 miles. I havent had a chance to try this again. I really dont wann get STRANDED again. Anyone have had this happen? Thanks in advance

They do it! set your trip od everytime you fill up so you know the range.

If you are "getting it " pushing her hard and the light comes on this will happen, for some reason it has like a delayed response lol it happen to a good Freind of mine when I was w him this was after some high speed runs of 170+

Yup, I had quite a walk when mine died within about 2 mins of the fuel light coming on. Ever since I fill up at 90 miles, whether it comes on or not. (2009 R1)

i have pushed about 20miles
then one time it ran out at about 10 miles
so i go by miles now.
the best i get is 100 miles
so reset your trip meter and refuel early to avoid.
its sucks walking the beast.
AAA membership is in order to avoid embarrassment

Ive gone almost 30 miles on the light, I use the trip meter and as soon as 100miles comes around I'll start thinking about getting gas anyways.

Damn 30 miles lol!! You have more guts then I do. As soon as I see 100 miles on the trip I fill her up.

Made it about 32 miles after fuel light came on before I putted to a stop. I believe you can set it on your cluster. Check out your owner's or service manual.
