Keeping busy.
Luckily the snow turned into rain. They say it may warm up by the weekend. I certainly hope so.

Whats up guys, been using the forum to pass some time since I'm slow at work. Also noticed its been very quiet here too. I have been contemplating going to an Ohio Mile landspeed racing event next season, anyone know anyone that attends these events ?

ECTA, East Coast Timing Assoc. runs the Ohio Mile and LTA , Loring Timing Assoc. runs 1 mile and 1 1/2 mile events in Maine. Ohio is a little closer, Maine is probably a better vacation location. Would be nice to be certified of cracking 185+

Some of the guys from Atco (1/4 mile) go there, big names like Rickey Gadson and his nephew Richard Gadson. Steve Knecum who built the engine on Bill Warner's 311 mph 'Busa, is a regular at Atco too. If I go next year, I will be shooting for 190 on my '12. Whether or not it will go that fast, remains to be seen. You never know until you try sometimes, will be a ton of fun either way.

That sounds like a nice vacation with some excitement built into it. I would be interested in hearing on how you do.
I used to go to atco quite often. One of my coworkers used to race brackets and I was his pit crew. Had my cars there a couple times too.
There is definitely some worked bikes at atco. They look fast but usually they hide their 1/4 mile times. You go there a lot?

Raced there for over 20 yrs mostly for fun, sometimes for $$, alot of times as a "jockey" for friends that want to know how quick thier bikes can go.

i used to have one of those solar panel chargers. it didnt do much. well at least i think. i used it in winter like 2 years ago on my bike. the bike started after about 3-4 weeks of no use and on the panel. but i also have a lot of light coming in from the window where the panel is located. also having a long wire is connected to the panel is bad since it will be loosing current. but no way can it replace a battery tender.
