Generally, I don't like to work out that late either. But, it wasn't a weight session. Just on the stationary trainer for my bike while watching an episode of Battlestar Galactica.
I need to get back into some resistance training again. Can't believe how weak I feel now.

This too. Not to mention, working out is a great stress reliever for me.

yeah... me too... i read yesterday that long distance running can be harmful to your heart.... pushing it to the max alot isnt good, can cause early calcification and arrythmia,
I dont push the long distances too much...

Yeah, read that a week or so ago and got into a huge argument over it. The morons making the claim, based upon that article, are only focusing on long distance. They do not take into consideration that it's not really running. But, it's going 100% at all times in anything training you do.
I tried to argue the point that without proper cycling, you're going to damage your heart and body and used my own heart condition (LVH) as an example of what can happen when weightlifting and anaerobic thresholds are common for causing heart issues such as mine. The claimed I was solely against weightlifting because of it, and 100% for cardio. I only used myself as an example for counterpoint of their claims.
I had to back out of the discussion. The people were too stupid to understand it's more the level of effort than it is the type of training. One person's 100% might be another person's 50% workload effort. Too many variables to make a valid claim that the study is 100% truth.

true, cycling is definitely the key and workload and understanding the percentage workload affecting your body is the biggest thing. Most people don't understand their own bodies well enought to understand whether they over do it or not....

hey Stone just wanted to give you a heads up. got to go on a ride today and mileage is much better. topped bike off to where the gas was touching the filler tube piece. got 104 miles before the light came on. put another 7 miles on it before stopping and was only able to fit 3.97gallons in it.. i think the capacity is 4.87 gallons. so i had just under a gallon left so easily could get 120-130 on a tank now. send your ECU to to Tad. just tell him to tone down the engine braking a little bit more

That sounds Good! mine dropped another .4 this last run. I don't understand that. I ran it pretty hard but damn, That's what you're supposed to do. Does it seem to pull like it did before? No surging at cruise? good hot starts?

this was at the end of the ride so it was a mix of hwy riding and high rpm/high speed runs.
it pulls likes a freight train. its got an odd engine braking surge when in 2nd gear and you drop from like 11K and let it engine brake itself down to around 9 then another hiccup around 7k. nothing major just odd.

..... damn quit your bytching... it is supposed to engine brake like that... the hiccp is the build up of fuel/unburnt gases causing the "hiccup" really it will usually pop a flame, but it is prolly still doing it but in the pipe and not out the muffler..... hell mine shoots out a flame when Im riding it kinda hard and pull a full let off of the throttle.... LOL
if you want the power you gotta take the other side effects like the engine braking...

I don't know if it's the same one they run. It's the peen map or something like that.
Yup I know there's gonna be some bad with the good. Just gotta get used to it doing that now.
