Your 2nd career

What is your plan to keep you busy and bring in money when you are over 50?

When the economy stays bad this long, a lot of "older" people are let go and they are now having to compete in the market with young people fresh out of college.

Honestly I think a lot of people will invest in themselves via opening their own business. I work in the Franchising world and see a lot of people borrowing against their 401k or foregoing putting money in the market and opening a franchise. Instead of getting kicked in the nuts in the money market, at least you would hold your own destiny in your hands.

While I still have quite a ways to go, this idea sounds promising.
