I'm with frank, technology should never be a replacement for training. Look at what GPS systems have done to the art of orienteering. Should the batteries fail, guys get lost.

I agree but technology advances. Look at motorcycles. I don't see you opting to continue to ride without rider aids to help with your ability

I think its pretty cool. Bring on technology I don't feel like shooting a musket because I feel rifling is taking away the skill of the smoothbore .

Indeed. I believe in redundancies, be able to navigate with your brain and a map if your gps goes down. I'm all about new and better tech, anything to let me focus on the more important tasks at hand...
