Power commander 5 imported from the US

I am living in Australia & want to purchase a power commander 5 for my 2008 r1 but I'm having a hard time finding one in Australia. I can get one from my supplier in the states but I've been told the US versions only suit US bikes. Is this true?? Has anyone imported a version 5 & is tunning in Australia??

Just get one through any bike retail dealer through the aus distributor then you will have full functionality and warranty support. I have heard US ordered units to Aus don't supply the harness/correct harness for Aus models but am not sure.

i bought a pc5 for my 2011 r1 from MJS when i ordered the de cat pipe. it is working fine and no problems hooking it up.
The only thing is that if there is a problem with you might just not get any warranty from dynojet is aus
