New here with a R1!

Hows it going guys!

Just picked up my R1 two days ago, I got a 2007 with 3,500 miles.

My old bike was a 2005 636 that I sold about 2 years ago. I have been sticking to cars since then but It feels so good to be back on a bike!

So what are some must haves and must knows for these bikes?

I'm huge on forums and glad to be here!

Here's a few pics of my old and new bike and car.

Thanks
I was so happy when I found this one with the low miles. Haha. It even still has the new bike when you get done riding. Lol

Two "must knows"

1) The more time you spend on this forum, the more money you'll end up spending.

2) Since you have an 07-08 model, and this happened to me, I'd advise you to look into the intake valve guide issue that affected these particular model years. This happened to me recently.

I know exactly what you mean... We come across the same problem on the charger forums.

Thanks... Ill look into when I get home

Best looking bike year but im biased lol

I would also try the 5500rpm roll out to see if your ecu has the glitch in it

read more here http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346849

post is only 2 pages long, worth the read.
