Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've posted here, but I'm back and plan to hang around more often to look, listen and learn! Hopefully, an R1 is in my future and soon!

New to the forum.
Hey all, my name is Evan. I had a lot of good experiences with the forum community when I bought my Camaro, and I just picked up an R1, figured this would be a great place to call my forum home.
My previous bike was a YZF-600r. I've only been riding about 6 months. I've taken a few riders courses. Wanted to trade to something with more power, and an R1 was exactly what I wanted.
K&N air filter, power commander, flush mount flashers, fender eliminator, frame sliders, and no exhaust baffles---which, good lord it's loud, I might put those back in... hahah.
This thing is a ton of fun, and I am eager for the weather to improve so I can start riding.
Look forward to talking with everyone and learning what I can.

Thing is mint. 3,300 miles. only mods are fender elim. and akra slip-on. My plans are to RIDE it. I've had a Honda CBR600, CBR900, dirtbikes, quads, a Harley, a Buell... etc. This site looks like the best place to find some info. good and bad.

Hello everyone,
thought it would be nice to introduce myself after registering. My name is Maarten, been riding bikes for 7 years, started on an old school Suzuki Gixxer 750W and after a couple of other bikes I bought this very nice '09 R1 about a year ago.
Mods: Akrapovic exhausts and Y-pipe, Rizoma levers and rearsets, Puig black screen and small blinkers. Bike also has a PC5 and makes 160hp at the wheel.
Btw, I live in the Netherlands where it is snowing right now, so the R1 is sitting comfortably in a heated garage waiting for summer.

Well, it's official now
I just brought a 2013 R1
but since the dealers in and around Montreal don't have the color that I like there will be around month or a bit more of waiting till it get's here from Japan.
This is what's coming
While waiting I got Scorpio SR-i900R alarm and a full set of R&G racing Front upper frame sliders, lower (Clutch) frame sliders plus front - rear axle sliders.
I am going to have to drill the fearing but this appear to be the only solution on that subject after reading all the threads on sliders here and else where.
Anyway soon will have some more OEM pics to show along with the future luxuries for that girl .
Take care hope to see ya on the road or track.

Hello all.
New member here to the R1 forum. Kind of a premature membership as I am currently riding an 09 ZX6R. I would like for an 09-13 R1 to be in my future though, so I am soaking up all of the info I can and hopefully a deal can arise. Love the sound and look of the crossplanes and would love to try one out.
Gotta post some pics even if they aren't of an R1
