Yup I have experienced this myself as well, when I was deployed to Japan my GF at the time her and I were living together and we talked on the internet via Skype and she even got me a global phone since she worked for Verizon.

She did nice things like send me packages and stuff.....what did I do? Well I didn't send random flowers, didn't really give her my full attention because I was too busy looking at upgraded HEMI engines for the car. I really did like her and she did a lot of great things for me but I unfortunately didn't do them back and learned the hard way.

3 months into deployment she broke up with me and had parties at the apartment and left it a mess for me to clean up when I returned home from deployment 4 months later. I saw it coming the whole time, she started hanging out with this "friend" and then I asked my Chief if I could fly home and not tell her and pack my shit and leave before she could even realize I was back in town. My Chief didn't let me leave.....

She also took my car joy riding for 2 weeks, it was full of dust and the gas light was on when I started it.....I know that I didn't give her the attention she was looking for BUT I didn't deserve the shit she left me with!

Do yourself a favor and get the ball rolling on your side and learn from the situation. Now I am more wise and make sure I take the extra effort to give the attention to a woman who deserves it.

That is the issue with marriage today. People don't seriously consider their vows and have preconceived notions about how their life is supposed to go and how they are to be treated. Once the marriage is no longer fun, they are gone. Happened to me so I know this story well. Everyone feels entitled to be happy without putting forth the effort to make the other person happy as well.

Wise words... I was lucky enough to take note before everything fell apart... If you both show appreciation of the other, your own grass will be greener than anyone else's...

I'm an asshole and Kat puts up with my shit. Why? Cause I try to do what is best for my family and I spend almost all my time with my family and I always do what I can for my wife. I try to buy her whatever she wants and help her as much as I can.
