Doug's 08 R1
Just finished putting the bike back together today. The big thing is the undertail that was done by baldanthony, a big thank you very much!!! This allowed me to go with a Moto GP style exhaust. Not many choices btw for the 08 which led to more than a few mock ups and returns. lol
Put the D-Ring clips on, installed some HID's, took a link out of the Driven 520 conversion. Wasn't happy with the amount of adjustment I had when I first put the chain on. Over all I'm very pleased with what I've gotten done. The 3 main things over the winter will be a complete upgrade of brakes and a braced rear swing arm or cover for it and some rear chain adjusters.
Tons of other little stuff to clean up appearance as well, like little caps for frame sliders and axle bolts.

That all black looks very interesting. The shorty exhaust looks good as well.

Added some Gilles chain adjusters and put a baffle in the low mount exhaust to tame it down a bit. Lol Wee bit too loud even for me!
Next is all new brakes front and rear.

It's all good. I have lots planned, just don't have the deep pockets right now to do what I want yet.
Big thanks also to shoeaholic for the Gilles. Much appreciated buddie!

I made a custom bracket that tucks it up under near the rear shock with an led light that shines on it.

Put on new axle nut, steering stem nut and mounted up another usb port so now I have one in the rear pass compartment and now one up front.
