2010 YAMAHA R1 With 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa Tail Section
Hello Guys and gals.
I wanted to share a build I completed earlier this year. I had a customer ask me to graph his 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa Rear subframe and tail fairings. I had to weld the complete subframe and fabricate the attachment points. I also had to relocate the shock mount location and adapt the swings are which was built for the 04-06 R1 chasis. The Hayabusa tail fairing end where it meets the tank was fabricated and molded to fit the body lines. The seat was all that was left to customize and build to fill the gap in the fairings..
All in all it was easy and worked out.
The bike has a full functional air ride rear shock. 300 Rear tire. The swing arm is a custom Ray Rays built out of Ft lauderdale..
Here are some videos of the build in verious stages...
Thanks for watching.

Bad link and why would you want to make an R1 look like a sick Parrot?

This is disrespectful to the R1, pretty much take away everything the r1 was built for. To each his own but this is ugly, I hate the Busa tail section. Now take a Busa and fab an R1 tail section with the under tail exhaust and that would be tits

Why two chains? Just get one offset front sprocket to have one full chain....

I agree with tek. Looks like nice work but its an incredibly ugly bike and now does nothing the R1 is meant to do. Just my opinion.

FJ Motorsports - Isn't that the shop that wrecked dude's R1 on a test drive and refused to involve their insurance, offered Ebay replacement plastics, etc?

Another Orlando shop...
What an ugly conversion. Someone actually wanted this done to their bike?

Still don't understand why people put 300's on the rear of a superbike? Just doesn't make sense to me. The bike is completely useless after that.
