Basically I agree with Oilfield. If you can afford both and don't mind spending some extra cash, I think getting the Bazzaz+FT interface is the way to go. It's just faster. Bazzaz controls all injectors, and has the option to switch between 2 maps on the fly, which is a handy feature. Fuel-wise the FT interface can do the same thing as a PCV, it's just a bit more time consuming. But you're removing the risk of a piggyback unit failing and dropping weight, so there are advantages there too. I don't have a tuner and just wanted to try Bazzzaz+AT after hearing a lot of rave reviews. It's a good setup, but a custom tune by a good tuner is going to be the best option.

I think flux was referring to porting the ECU image to a 09-11 ECU image....but I already know the tentative answer to that.

Maybe some time in the future....we can get the one generation behind ECU Image.......

Well done guys, congrats on nice linear trend.

I'll switch PCV to Bazzaz just to compare the numbers hidden between 4 and 8 injectors and to play with TC and QS. BTW does anyone have Bazzaz map for 3/4 Akrap so I can use it as a starting point before I make my own map with Z-AFM unit?

Lol I knew what he was asking for. There was a LOT of time and money invested in this tuning between R1Evo and myself and it's not something we are ready to just give away. We are going back to the dyno one more time to tune each cylinder pretty soon to get the absolute max safe usable horsepower from this engine with stock internals. I have talked it over with him and one thing we learned on the dyno we agreed to share. We changed the velocity stack setting to 8K RPM from the stock 9250 RPM and left the fuel inj porportioning as is. The tuner took the specs of the stacks and engine then after a long scientific explanation and some impressive calculations decided to start at 8K. As you can see from the chart it smooth the sharp rise in hp and tq, just what we were looking for a more usable midrange. Blue line being the pull with the previous mapping and red line being the pull after the changes were made. The scaling on the chart is the same for each line to show the total gains. The top pair(red & blue) being hp, middle pair being tq and bottom pair AFRs. There were other changes made to produce the gains shown in red, mostly in ignition timing and some fueling. I'm not sure if anyone would see the same improvement in the midrange since this mapping is custom to my bike but judging by the dramatic effect you should see some.

Thanks! That was our goal. It helps to have a good tuner on your side.

Yep. I look forward to trying out the 8K RPM switch point setting. Once it is actually warm enough to ride again... as I sit here in my office, and it is 32 deg.F outside...

It's supposed to hit 55 later this week, I'm going to try and flash the ECU with the 8k switchover point and see how it feels. 35 right now... way too cold.

-13C/9F here and icy as hell atm
Winter really is killing me but if things play out the way I plan, I`m headed to southern Spain in the begining of April to look for an apartment to buy.

The plan is to get a trackbike and if that turns out to be an R1, I would def need a decent map for it

Hi all, are there any people from Australia who would be kind enough to share their flashtune information and/or PCV maps for a 2012 R1?

I'm concerned the US versions will be slightly different ? Anybody who can help with their experience with the 2012 and flashtune from Australia would be greatly appreciated.

I have slip GYTRs and Y-pipe.
Really appreciate it.
