My R1 eats me.

Anyone experienced a bricked ecu situation?
I flashed my 08 R1 and from that time and after stoped responding I can now only flash the etv cpu. When I am trying to flash fi CPU stops and gives me error

Reinstall the software, then call F-T. They are open Saturdays.

I have this problem. The work around for me is flashing ETV and FI seperately.

Any thoughts...opinions on the newer FT version. (ignition maps for the 09-11 R1) Good/bad/needs adjusting in some areas????
They look awful like the ignition maps Elwin made for his bike.

Been out for awhile now....month or so. (91pumpgas maps) Just wondering how the testing is coming along? Anybody run these newer ignition maps?
The older maps were ....stock/pump gas/ 91
Now....stock/91pumpgas

Those ign maps are decent. If you are running 91 or above pump gas you can advance the timing at 80-100% throttle from 6k to redline by 2 degrees and still be safe. Those stock ign maps are pretty conservative.

#3 I met with Flash-Tune in LA on Saturday and can confirm that there is a new bluetooth harness/interface coming very soon which will allow flash-tuning without removing the ECU from the bike, plus data logging to internal memory on the harness and in the future bluetooth devices such as Android & maybe iPhone which can be applied via flash-tune (and much much more.)

When the new interface/box and harness is released then it will be available for the R1 4C8, R6 2C0, 13S and the R1 14B etc as well.
Now I hope this news doesn't make everyone on the planet pick up the phone and call them, as I want them working on the new products and not on the phone answering questions ! So if anyone would like more details then please ask here !

Yep I can't wait to get my test kit from FT and report to you guys how good it is !

Usually prices see a X 3 markup coming to Europe and that is pretty steep
