It's the best ride ur gonna find in AZ, roads are great. condition are awesome.LOTS of turns.. To be exact - believe its 26 miles total... Pull it up on google map, zoom in and u can see how bad ass it is..
Once u ride Mt. Lemmon, everything else sucks and falls short.. Second best I would say would be yarnell to Prescott then up to Jerome... That's a pretty good ride - but again, it's no Mt. Lemmon.

You forgot RT. 191 from Morenci to Alpine. Or its sister road, in New Mexico, RT. 180

Br careful on the Jerome ride, sheriff posts up out there constantly for speeders. They also enforce the noise ordinance pretty harsh there. A decent ride is out to tortilla flats, Mt Lemon would be your best. But we have a lot of straight aways out here, so if you want some twisties you'll have to go north. I heard the back way to Flagstaff is pretty good too.

Anybody from AZ know the current weather conditions on Mt. Lemmon and is there a gas station at the summit or along the way? I'm driving through this week and bringing my motard...would love to hit it up!

I have to disagree - unless something changed in the past 4 months -
Tortilla flats (and south mountain) are ALWAYS crowded and have a ton of spots with sand and dirt...

looks like 30.5 miles one way from the gas station on tanque verde and catalina to the summit...I believe that is the nearest fuel stop to the mountain.

mt.lemmon is pretty sweet but has a speed trap usually and had a friend get nailed there pretty hard by 5.0..had bike taken and went to jail for criminal speeding..so take her easy up there and dont speed and definitely have a radar detector!...still think 89a takes the crown especially the spars section...only a couple spots where 5.0 hangs out and after 5pm that place is yours!

Alright guys I made it up to Mt. Lemmon last week on my motard and had a blast!! Not a single cop along the entire route.
The roads were dry up until around 5 or 6,000ft.
The views were absolutely breathtaking. I felt like Jesus looking down on his creation below LOL
The snow took over at the summit but that wasn't a problem for the motard.
Dress warm for December...I wore a one piece brazos suit with a duck quilt lining, jeans and a tshirt under that, and my Alpinestar GP Pro gloves. I could have used an extra top layer like a hoodie or a jacket under the suit. My hands also got pretty cold at the top. Overall, it was an awesome ride. And the Raddisson on 6555 East Speedway, Tucson, AZ was very nice and only a few miles away from the mountain.

Yep! Exactly how I remember it - except, minus the snow. I rode it back in Aug... Glad you liked it....
