lol.... it is boring around here, but hell I dont want to go out of the office to do anny running around here to kill time because of the cold as high winds here...

so im not that happy with my job right now they just sent out an email claiming that starting next year they will no longer pay holiday pay. but will pay double time if you work the holiday....so does this mean holidays will be 100% voluntary from now on? time to start lookin for a new job. anyone know good companies hiring in DFW area that pay 40+ a year?

I know right. i felt the same way when i got the email this morning.
i will be asking the HR lady tomorrow if that means holidays will become OPTIONAL. since right now they are pretty much mandatory since we are an after hours service for pharmacies all across the country. which will end up biting them in the ass if they make have them optional since they decided not to pay us unless we actually do work the holiday. im sure lots of people would still work to get the double pay...but theres also a lot of family oriented people here that would much rather be at home on holidays

hell at least you get a true double time... holiday pay is supposed to be double time for us.... but bc of my FLSA status.... my overtime rate is only $3.25 above my hourly rate , granted I am salary, but they have to show the hourly equivalent.... so honestly overtime really inst shyte for me....

eh..... what sucks is when I deploy and work 84 hours a week and get paid at that rate while another guy that is a regular equipment specialist from Warren gets full overtime bc he/she isnt FLSA exempt like all of us emeregency essential employees
