Who says RD doesn't carry Tecknic. .....Talk to Brad....
Anyway as to satisfaction....The jacket I love. The pants ....not as much. They are nice, but don't have any stretch panels in the legs, instead they have codura where my old pants had stretch material. So I guess that is my only complaint. You could also look into the Cortech stuff for a cheaper one piece...z06's buddy runs that and it has been crash tested....

This is going to be a big purchase so I just want to make sure I get it right.
The high end ones seem to be lacking perforation which is a big deal because I sweat like a hooker at a blow party. I'm not too concerned with the price just looking to keep it at around $700. Please lend me you knowledge and experience. FWIW I'm looking at the Tech 1-R or something like an SP-1 jacket.

2XL or 58ish Euro in both jacket and pant. Except my thigh measurement says 4XL. I'm hoping the stretch panels work their magic. I wish my local dealerships carried more selection so I could use them as a trial fit.
I was just going off RD's website as far as them not carrying tecknic. I didn't talk to anyone yet about that brand.

Damn. Was hoping I unload my old suit to you If you were a little closer, I'd have you stop by my buddies @ MotoRider to try on a suit. They carry a whole bunch of quality stuff now that they've been around for a couple years. They rent suits at trackdays as well I think he even sold an undersuit to R1ooklah (Rick) at Blackhawk last year

If you think they can be competitive on price I could meander down there when I go to Milwaukee next. My friend that I would be visiting in Milwaukee needs some gear for our deals gap trip in March. He just bought a GSXR 750 in fall, so I won't be bringing him to the Yamaha convention. Even if they aren't price competitive at least I'll know what size to order.
Thanks for the offer on the suit btw. I need to lose a few pounds so my measurements line up better in the sizing charts

Their place is pretty sweet regardless of buying anything. It's also the Wisconsin motorcycle museum

You can still bring him. There are people who bring other bikes, even some old timers on here. Just have him be prepared for a constant barrage of crap.

If I show up to the convention (hopefully)....I'll have a Roadstar as my only street legal bike. Technically a Yamaha but your buddies GSXR750 will probably fit in better

Real reason I'm going alone is I plan on visiting family after the convention.
I tried to get him to buy a Yamaha but I really like his 750. Great bike. Only problem riding the GSXR is my legs got cold cause I'm so used to the R1 burning my leg hair off. If you make it I'd greatly enjoy seeing a Roadstar dragging pegs around corners
