I finally found a few pics but not with the trailer set up. I can't remember now if the front channel was 4 inch or 6 inch. Looking at the pic it almost looks like 4 inch. Just scroll down a bit and you'll see pics under my post.

You're preaching to the choir in your other post about how useful the HF trailers are. I rock one too and it's awesome. I even tug it along with my little ass Focus The set up looks twice as big as my car but it tows them great and te trailer tracks very well behind a stiffly sprung lowered econocar

I used canyon dancers (gen 1) on the grips and regular ratchet straps on the swingarm in a U-Haul motorcycle trailer (had a front wheel brace built in, but it was kinda huge).
Worked well. I saw a picture of bent forks online from someone who WAY overtightened, so i just did enough that the forks compressed a little bit...seemed to be plenty for 3 hours. I checked at stops and everything was always fine.

Get yourself a pitbull and be done....I was reluctant to drop the cash...after the first time using it, i kicked myself in the ass for not buying one sooner. No worry about tubes, straps that can fail, or the bike shimmying around. holding it up while you're trying to strap it down, etc. It's a 1 man show. put the frame on your rear axle, walk it onto the trailer, it clicks in, put the retaining pins in...done....it can't move....PLUS, you have extra room for all your gear and crap without working around the straps. getting it out is just as easy....pull retaining clips, flip up locking clips, go to the bars and take off trailer....no balancing, screwing with straps, etc. If you're going to move your bike more than a couple times a year, it's worth EVERY penny....

You can also get a piece of PVC piping, I think 1 3/4in, cut it to fit over your clip-ons, and then fit the canyon dancers around/over them. It helps with the throttle tube, pulling the grips, etc. Someone turned me onto it a few years back and it works great. $2 fix.

Greenstreak, what kind of true gas mileage do you get towing those two bikes with the Focus?

It got low/mid 20's when I pulled the 2 and it was all highway. It was colder when I pulled the 2, so I expect a few more at most. I got up to 30 highway pulling just mine when it was warmer out. When I went to JGP last year for the forum track day it managed 37 packed full w/out a trailer. Then I promptly blew the diff 30 miles after I got home from the 2200 mile trip
For me, it's def worth it. I don't have much vaca time. So if I go anywhere far, it's with others that have a larger trailer and a proper truck Most tracks that I would be going to by myself are w/in 5hrs of me. Even if they were further, I wouldn't hesitate to take my little get up. The mileage is really worth it
Edit to add: when I pulled the 2 bikes, one was MelvinAshkay's on the forum and the other was his buddy. I fit 3 people's; gear (helmets, gloves, suits, boots..), clothes for 4 days, a cooler, 2 front stands, 2 rear stands, a tool box, electric impact in its own case and another case for a screw gun. Possibly more things But it sered it's purpose very well that weekend

that's pretty good considering you worked the sh!t out of it. Those dont have to many problems . if you can keep them from blowing timing belts, there not a bad little car at all
