16. "Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes."
17. "Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities."
Can't clarify what a law states unless it truely doesn't say it. Anyone have background on mainly 16.
From this I see no ban of FTF sales, magazines, or rifles until/unless congress passes as such.

That won't happen, the wording has to do with court involved mental status, now it will just be on the shrinks to report to the courts this behavior(which they already were supposed to do). It won't matter if you have sought mental health care, just what the end result was.
Edit: here is some of the wording regarding mental health stuff
Adjudicated as a mental defective:
(a) A determination by a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority that a person, as a result of marked subnormal intelligence, or mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease:
(1) Is a danger to himself or to others; or
(2) Lacks the mental capacity to contract or manage his own affairs.
(b) The term shall include—
(1) A finding of insanity by a court in a criminal case; and
(2) Those persons found incompetent to stand trial or found not guilty by reason of lack of mental responsibility pursuant to articles 50a and 72b of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. 850a, 876b.
Committed to a mental institution:
A formal commitment of a person to a mental institution by a court, board, commission, or other lawful authority. The term includes a commitment to a mental institution involuntarily. The term includes commitment for mental defectiveness or mental illness. It also includes commitments for other reasons, such as for drug use. The term does not include a person in a mental institution for observation or a voluntary admission to a mental institution.
Mental institution:
Includes mental health facilities, mental hospitals, sanitariums, psychiatric facilities, and other facilities that provide diagnoses by licensed professionals of mental retardation or mental illness, including a psychiatric ward in a general hospital [Ref. 21].

Its an EO.. He can't create a law, only use existing for an EO.. Instating a ban without congress can't be part of an EO.

The outcry would be too much if he instituted a ban with an EO, that blood will have to be on every congressman's hands that votes for it.

Reason for 16 : Obama care has a clause in it made in cooperation of the NRA that doctors could NOT ask individuals if they had guns in their home. #16 will totally disregaurd that and intact probably suggest that they ask every single patient.

Yes we are. What if some lunatic just drives a car through the playground at recess?

That's what I thought...in which case...sorry EO can not overrule existing law. It could clarify, but it can not overrule....legally anyway

According to them it would be a safe incident because a gun wasn't used.

All I heard was they want to limit gun right through an emotional play, and use taxpayer money to implement it....great play for the debt ceiling too.....
I think I officially despise OBIDEN ans much as OBUMMER...fuking tool bags...

Frankly, there is nothing significant in any of those EO's, it's more of a list of marching orders to various agencies to do the jobs they should have been doing all along. That said, all of that is NOT already happening due to internal barriers within the govt preventing agencies from working with each other, usually for the most ridiculous, unintended reasons. Nothing will change that no matter how many EO's he releases. Let's move on to what Congress is going to take up now, there's nothing in those EO's.

Agreed...its the details that they will try to pass under the rug is what I'm more worried about.... Not one of the specifics I was curious about showed up in the speech or any documentation presented so far.

come on, it's easy; just follow their logic -
A) they will ban "playgrounds"
B) they will ban "recess"
C) they will ban children
D)t hey will ban "lunatics"
E) they will ban "cars"
F) they will combine all of the above
Makes total sense. Just as a f*cking liberal.

Probably pointless, but a decent petition on whitehouse.gov to keep poking at the morons in the very least.
