Getting a couple days ahead of me guys. I've had drill since Friday and haven't had the time to post up the submission thread so here it is. I've copied over our two entries and all others should come straight here.

Hello R1-Forum, below is my BOTM entry!!!

Background story:

I have been riding R1's for over 15 yrs and have been a member of this forum since 2001 when "Swedie" was the owner. My first bike was a 1999 R1 followed by a 2004 R1 in silver, 2004 R1 in red and now a 2005 R1 in black. I have tracked my bikes over a dozen times from Poconos to Mosport, VIR and my favorite, Calabogie.

I had an accident 3 yrs ago that stopped me from riding but have fully recovered and decided to find a pristine R1 that would stay in my stable FOREVER. I purchased the bike from a good friend in Long Island with only 6000 miles in March of 2014. I then began to scout the for sale section for any and all goodies I could find to turn this bike into an R1 performance beast.

I plan to track the bike next month at NJMP until I find a full time track whore....

Thanks to the forum and its ole' time members and new ones for the mechanical guidance and good times.

And also thanks to NYR1 for helping me install every single mod on this bike!!!

Good luck to entrants regardless of who wins you already have the most gorgeous bike, an R1!!!!

Thanks, Ruben

He decides to sell it this year and I jump on it. Got it for $2000 plus $550 shipping. Put all my good parts on it and I think she looks pretty good.

What's up guys, sorry if my format is a bit off! here's my story. Growing up I was always into cars, modified them and raced them at any and every kind of event possible, had a ton of drift builds a GTR ECT, I got my first bike when I was 18 and fell in love with it, slowly started to drift away from cars and got really into the bike scene, I had about 7 bikes all different brands but never the r1, always wanted one never actually got it. Finally I purchased a 08 r1 in 2008 and fell in love all over again. I lived in San Diego for a while while and the roads there just made me love bikes more and more. Fast forward.... Moved to NYC and went to some bike show at a dealership. Walked inside I purchase gloves and there she was... THE bike.

I left that day and all I could think about is how bad I wanted that anniversary r1. Finally convinced myself to purchase it and had it delivered in a crate wanted to do the fun stuff myself.

Jumping ahead.. The first day I got the bike i was already holding onto about 3000$ worth of mods at hand. And there it began, and happy to say I just finished off the bike with the very last mod, titanium full monte and reg engine casing bolts! I always wanted I start up a build thread but never got around to it being when it came to mind to actually go forward and start one I was already 5 grand Into the bike and all of it was installed!

Here she is in all it's glory!

So, which pictures actually count then? The ones in it's initial post, or any updated ones? If it's limited to just ten pictures, 'n all... :crash

Not sure but I have "modders anxiety" the last few days. I now have tracking for the following and cant WAIT to install!!

MDI CF:
front fender
sprocket cover
seat cowl

Macmoto CF tail
Motion Pro throttle kit
Motivation fork/frame/clutch/swingarm sliders

Possibly an axle pull cup and underslung rear brake bracket inc...still looking for a proper brembo rear caliper 4sale...

Haven't given any xoxo to chewbacca the track bike, she still needs an oil change x 2 and torque the caliper bolts and left frame slider.

im going fokin bonkers!!!

I've been riding with Absolute for years. I'm going Mon. (Thunderbolt) and Tue. (Lightning). I can't do the 3-day weekend (6/28-6/30) because I'll be away on vacation. I rode with TPM back in the day, I MUCH prefer Absolute. TPM runs a good program but, just my preference. I do all the Absolute days I'm a Season Pass holder.
