I got the type 1 ECU flashing interface from Flashtune today.
Here are the tuneable features for the 07-08 R1:
-Fuel table bias (ECU uses a MAP vs RPM and a TPS vs RPM table for fueling, the bias adjusts how much each table contributes to the final value used to control the injectors.)
-TPS vs RPM Fuel map (per cylinder)
-MAP vs RPM Fuel map (per cylinder)
-TPS vs RPM Ignition map (per gear)
-Engine braking
-YCCT APS vs RPM throttle maps (not directly edittable, can choose between two preset maps: stock and "race")
-Fan temps (stock or 205*F on, 195*F off)
-Immobilizer Operation (Normal or Bypassed)
-Yes, you can import .djm PCIII maps into the software, the software then scales the fuel maps for flashing the ECU just like the PCIII does.
Flashtune does claim to be actively expanding the software to allow for other adjustments as well.
I flashed my ECU with the "race" YCCT map and used the 6th gear ignition map for all gears. My bike does now idle around 1900 RPMs. After looking at the "race" YCCT map closer I believe it may be to blame. Aside from the high idle everything worked great. I went out for a quick ride and was able to power up 2nd gear sit-down wheelies, I tried hard before but it never happened. The bike does feel like it has a little extra pep.
Here are a couple of screenshots of the YCCT maps and the 1st and 6th gear ignition maps.
Well I guess it's just my software. I reinstalled my ais and left disable ais as true. And it still pump ar in ehuast. I can tell by the afr readings at idle and cruise it reads 17 to 20 and with the ais removed it reads 14.5 to15.5 idle and light throttle.
After you launch the software, close it again then go back into the folder where the files were & you should see 3 new ones with the "date last modified" as the current date (different to all the rest)
G70OYP, G705YP, index.fil
I'm assuming all is well now with the new files. :dunno
Oh yah your right, last modified 5 min ago, i opened my program first so it must have updated so thats why those files were already in there while i was deleting the old one
Interested to hear back how this latest update starts and idles?
Number of cranks needed to start from cold?
And any other minor issues...
Ie. backfires or having to hold the throttle on startup.
Fingers crossed....hopefully this update fixes some issues.
Any feedback would be great.
Cheers
:epimp
Looks pretty good. Can you try one thing? Start the bike then quickly just give it a HAIR of throttle then let go. Does the RPM shoot WAY up to like 4k to 6k RPM and stay there for a good 30 seconds or so???
Crap Ok, I'll have to do some more work on my customers bike, not sure what's causing it. Was only after I flashed in a custom idle table similar to yours
This may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway.
Did anyone notice a difference in smell when they Flashtuned their bike? Since putting a de-restrict map on I've noticed that the bike exhibits an odd smell. Not always, but I notice it at low speed sometimes. Smells a little bit like burning, but doesn't have a very strong fuel smell.
This may be a stupid question but has anyone noticed their bike smells different after flash-tuning it? I just have the de-restrict map on mine but it seems to exhibit a different smell at low speeds after riding for a bit. It's a little bit like a burning smell, but it doesn't smell like fuel and it's not a really strong smell. I thought it might be something to do with the de-restriction but I thought I'd see if anyone else has noticed anything similar before I look into it any further....?
