Sticking shifter
Finally got warm enough to start breaking my 05 R1 in and have one issue, sometimes when I shift up or down the shifter seems to stick all the way up or down till I let the cluch out I've got 594kms on it is this a normal issue for break-in?

My 04 did it as well, it does go away. If it does it when stopped try rocking foward a bit. If it's doing it while you're driving then it may be something else.

Check for enough clearance between the shift arm and the case. If you have move the toe position recently you may have pushed it on to tight. Should see .005-.010.......of course there is that wheelie-gone-bad that dropped on that side and mashed it in ya?

I've never adjusted the shifter but I checked just in case of assembly error but the shifter isn't binding up on anything the on thing I did notice is that it does is more often when the trans is not under much load like if Im slowng down, drop it down a gear the shifter will stay down till I let out the clutch!

i had some trouble with the shifting last summer. Came to find out my shift rod eyelet was frozen. You might wanna make sure the eyelets are still free by twisting the shift rod back and forth with your index finger and thumb, it should move pretty much unbound.
