Need help!!! problems with headlights

Ok here's my dilema,
I just got pulled over b/c both my headlights were out. I told the officer I was having problems with them and that I'd take care of it right now. I knew the one bulbs low bean was out and both high beams were working. I pulled the wire harness off and put it back on and both lights went on. Then I went to leave again and the lights went out. So i get home and get the tool box out and pull the harness off and play around with the wires and harness and put them back on and they work again. So i figured I fixed the problem maybe a little rust and grim. Then I go to park the bike and I hear thsi little clicking like sound then they go on again. I shut off the bike, turned it back on, they work. I try it again, and they don't.

I'm wondering if the bulbs I bought are wrong or if it's the wire or the harness! Any opinions or experience with this?

When it comes to the front lights,stock is really the best option;

You may be experiencing an intermittent problem with the relays or maybe some corrosion in the switch pod or even in the harness connector.

Check them all.

just changed my lights.
Bought an inport and had it derestricted and head lamp changed to UK spec.
