Making cool text in Photoshop CS

I've noticed that a lot of you guys have really cool looking text in your Sigs. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it. All I see that you can do is reagular type fonts with nothing really cool to do with it. Let me know if it's even in there to do.

blending options mang----- type what you want and then right click on your text layer, choose blending options and play around with them. You will probably want to install some new fonts too...
