Lets See Peoples 1/8 Mile Times
Hey, I,ve decided to start up drag race my R1 this mid-summer and been going every friday night to a local 1/8 track since theres no 1/4 track less than 2 hours away. Anyway I,ve been search and don't find much on peoples 1/8 mile time to see how i was doing. I think i wasn't doing bad on stock wheelbase, but just wondering. so lets see some of your 1/8 mile times. Here's mine
reaction - .0088
60 ft - 1.6251
330 ft - 4.2579
594 ft - 5.9968
1/8 ET - 6.3837
1/8 MPH - 116.32
Again, this is on stock wheelbase and tire. thanks
-Willy

Indiana seems to be a prime place for MPH on bikes. Several people on the Busa board up there average about 4mph more in the 1/4 with similar mods to us here in FL - humidity is a bitch.
You are doing really good for a stock wheelbase.

its lowered 3 in back and 1.5 on the trees and the drag strap. Also my clutch hasnt gone yet but i don't think its long until it does what seems to be the best setup to go with for drag racing. mostly see people with lap track setups. thanks

Just curious? what is your elevation around that part of the country? I am out west at about 5700' and usualy pull 7.1 to 7.2 with stock wheelbase, street presures, no straps, and no nos. sucks 'cuse have to run E.T. with the computer controled cars because of lack of bikes.

DAMN eagle, that is a NICE 60 for a stock length bike. I can't get mine down to save my life. Current best is a 1.87, 6.70 in the 1/8 with a 114 trap speed. I have the MPH, just can't seem to get her out of the hole, either big wheelie or it spins. Track prep where I am sucks hard.
(edit) that no bottle, I haven't made a pass on the bottle yet. Giving that a shot this weekend, making the trip for a 1/4 mile track.

1999 R1, stock except for a Akapovic full system and rejetting. I ran a best of a 7.10@106.6mph with a 1.844 sixty foot without a strap. My best with a strap was a 6.869@108.15mph with a 1.77 sixty foot.
Not too awfull great I know, had only been riding it for about a month after returning to bikes after a 15 year hiatus and was relearning all I had forgotten.

Immokalee Runday-Sunday 1/8 mile track, 11/27/05..
1st run: 60ft................1.65
330ft..............4.23
1/8 ET............6.32

2nd run: 60ft................1.62
330ft..............4.18
1/8 ET............6.28

05' Raven with 4800 miles.. Bike is lowered with strap and slid fork tubes up for front setup and 3" lowering triangles from McCoy's in rear with shock set to full compression.. 16/47 gearing, 530drz chain, rear stretched 4" using extensions, 190/50-17 Michelin Pilot Power Sport(no Mickey T's or Shinko), stock slipons with race baffles from ebay and gutted stock converter.. Bike uses factory v-stacks and smog setup, stock header pipe and no power commander-just factory ECU.. No more runs made due to clutch problem, might be going out..
